7 Vegetables That You Can Regrow Again. And Again. And Again. And Again.

Many foods have that magical ability to regrow themselves. Some of these foods are to be regrown again, but there are some that require a bit larger commitment. However you definitely need to try and grow at least one of these foods. Do not worry it will not take much from your time. In fact you will be done in no time.

Also this will be a great opportunity to teach you kids about the miracle of life. And if these experiments of yours work as they should you will be the hero in the eyes of your kids for a while longer.

  1. Scallions (green onions)

You can regrow scallions pretty easy. All you need to do is leave an inch attached to the roots and place them in a small glass with a little bit of water. Now put the glass in a well-lit room.

  1. Garlic

As soon as the garlic begins to sprout, you need to put it in a glass with a little bit of water in it and grow garlic sprouts. These sprouts can be added to pasta, salads and many other dishes, because they have milder flavor than garlic.

  1. Bok Choy

If you want to regrow Bok Choy all you have to do is place the root into a container filled with water and leave the container in a well-lit area. After a week of two, you can transplant it to a pot with soil and grow a full new head again.

  1. Carrots

For growing carrots all you have to do is take the carrot tops and put them in a dish filled with water. Now you need to place this dish in a well lit room or a window sill. You can use these carrot tops as an additive to your salads.

  1. Basil

Put clippings from basil with 3 to 4-inch stems in a glass filled with water. Now put the glass in a direct sunlight. Watch carefully the roots and as soon as they are about 2 inches long, you need to plant them in pots and in no time they will grow to be a full basil plant.

  1. Celery

For re-growing celery, first you need to cut off the base of the celery. Then you need to place it into a saucer or some shallow bowl. Then you need to fill this container with warm water. Finally you need to put it in direct sunlight. In no time the leaves will begin to thicken and grow in the middle of the base. As soon as this happens you need to transfer the celery into soil.
