Milia are cysts that are filled with keratin, found near the eyes, cheeks, forehead and the nose. They are caused by dead cells which build up and clog the pores. And they usually appear when keratin remains stuck below its surface. What’s keratin? Well, keratin is a strong protein found in the tissues of the skin cells, hair and nails. These cysts look just like pimples and they are easy to notice.
Milia are predominant in newborn babies, but they can also affect people of all ages. They normally disappear within a few weeks. Although not harmful, milia are an unpleasant cosmetic issue for most people, mostly because they resemble pimples. Here we recommend 3 alternative methods to get rid of milia in a completely natural way.
3 alternative methods to remove the small skin cysts from your skin:
1st Method – this method includes using the comedone extractor to take the milia out through the small opening. If using this method, it’s important to be very gentle. After you’ve made a tiny opening on the cyst, pull it out with tweezers. Finish with your regular skincare routine.
2nd Method – note: you are going to need a sharp needle, very pointed tweezers (flat-ended tweezers will not work), and/or acomedone extractor. Here’s what you need to do: first, you need to cleanse your face with gentle and water-soluble cleanser and washcloth or cleaning brush. Then rinse it off with lukewarm water. Make sure skin is completely dry before you start remove milia. And remember, so as to prevent infection, you have to rub the tweezers, needle and the comedone extractor with alcohol.
3rd Method – start by making a very tiny opening on top of the milia or very near it using a needle or tweezers. This will make the milia easily accessible.
