There are many natural processes that occur in the human body, which may lead to some serious health problems. One of these problems are ingrown nails.
According to doctors, this is a chronic disease and it is about the growing of another nail in the skin.
The ingrown toenail can be the result of pressure from the nail edges that have started growing into the skin of your toe. Once these edges break through the skin, they cause inflammation. This inflammation often times progresses into a skin infection and becomes a serious problem. The ingrown toenails primarily affect the large toes.
The medical term for an ingrown nail is onychocryptosis.
An ingrown toenail makes the walking difficult, and it causes constant pain. Moreover, the ingrown toenail does not look pleasantly and can make you feel uncomfortable, particularly in the summer days when you are about to go on a holiday and wear flip-flops. Fortunately, there is a solution to this problem, but a natural and a safe one, as we all know that surgeries can be very painful and expensive.
If you do not want to spend a lot of money on surgeries, you can utilize this method of removing the ingrown toenail in home conditions.
Instructions on how to prepare the homemade remedy for ingrown toenai:
- Mix three tablespoons of baking soda and two liters of water, and then place this solution on heat. Once the water becomes warm, put your foot with the affected toe into the water and it will relax your skin.
- Next thing you should do it to put a cotton ball between the skin and the ingrown toenail and gradually try to remove the ingrown nail using tweezers. Remember to disinfect the cotton ball using antibacterial liquid prior to starting the process.
- You should not expect to remove the nail at once, so keep in mind that you will have to repeat this procedure every day for fifteen days, until you take off all parts of the ingrown toenail.
