Baking soda can do wonders for our looks. It can help you look your best from head to toe. It is a cheap and easily found solution.
HOW TO USE BAKING SODA FOR WONDERFUL SKIN AND HAIR
1. REMOVES DANDRUFF
Mix freshly squeezed juice of 1 lemon with 1 teaspoon of baking soda. Apply it to your scalp, allow it to sit for 2 to 3 minutes and then rinse your hair with water. Do this once a week only to keep your scalp free from dandruff.
2. BAKING SODA SHAMPOO
It can also effectively clean your hair. Mix one spoon of baking soda with your favorite shampoo and apply it on your hair, gently massaging. Then, leave the mixture on for 10 minutes and rinse it off thoroughly.
Baking soda successfully treats pimples and blackheads on the skin. Mix some of it with lemon and apply the paste on the affected areas. Use the treatment at night, as the lemon can damage your skin if it is exposed to sun-rays.
4. WHITENS TEETH
Baking soda works better for teeth whitening than any commercial product that claims it can whiten your teeth. Mix some baking soda with water and a little salt, and use it as regular toothpaste. You can gargle some of the solution to prevent bad breath.
Baking soda has natural deodorizing properties, which makes it a great DIY natural deodorant. Just mix it with water until it makes a slightly moist, not runny, paste, and apply to your underarms to prevent sweat stains and body odor.
6. DETOX BATH
Mix baking soda with equal parts sea salt and add your favorite essential oil for a spa-like indulgence.
Many experts recommend baking soda as an exfoliator to successfully remove dead skin cells and accumulated dirt. Mix one part of water with three parts of baking soda, and apply the mixture on any part of the skin. Afterwards, rinse with warm water and apply a moisturizer.
8. TO RELIEVE FEET
Baking soda can be a great way to soothe your feet after a long day of work. It relaxes them and removes the dead skin cells that are present on the skin. Make a mix of three tablespoons of baking soda and water in a bigger container and soak your feet in it. The mixture will soothe your feet and maintain their health.
If you notice any color change in your nails, then it’s time to clean your nails once in a week with baking soda. Due to excessive use of nail polishes, harsh detergents or nail polish remover our nails changing its color but don’t worry. Take a nail brush; add baking soda and a few lemon drops start scrubbing your nails with it. After 10 minutes wash it off. You see a bit difference after the first use.
