Nothings worse than when you wanna treat yo ‘self with some ice cream, but when you pull it out of the freezer, it’s rock hard. You can wait until it softens a bit, but talk about torture.
But now there is a solution for the ol’ hard ice cream dilemma.
Start by running the blade of a paring knife under hot water, then slice one-inch deep cuts into the ice cream, spacing them out in one inch sections.
Repeat this in the opposite direction to create a checker board pattern. Now it’s time to dive in: Run your ice cream scooper under hot water and have at it.
The score marks help loosen up the frozen treat, making it way easier to slide your tool across the surface without exhausting all of your energy.
