More than 90 percent of the homes in America use microwave ovens for preparation of meals on a regular basis. The microwave ovens spread the electromagnetic waves all over the food, exciting the molecules and causing them to move. This is why they vibrate and heat up, as a reaction to the microwave radiation. The wave energy in the microwave oven is being produced by a device called Magnetron.

When people microwave dairy and cereal grains, they cause some amino acids present in these types of food to convert into carcinogens.
