Painful little red bumps ruins our smooth look every time we shave or wax. Bad look-ingrown hairs are dang painful and downright irritating.

Hair develops at the follicle and grows up and out of the skin. An ingrown hair, will either grow sideways into the skin, or curl back down and grow into the skin.

Folliculitis, an infection of the hair follicle, accompanied by the formation of a pustule that resembles a little pus-filled pimple.

Ingrown hairs are caused by waxing or shaving, and are most common with thicker, curlier hair.

1. Tea Tree Oil

Just mix:

-five drops of tea tree oil and

-two tablespoons of distilled water.

-Clean your skin.

-Apply the diluted tea tree oil on the affected skin

-Let it sit for 10 minutes .

-Rinse the area with lukewarm water.

-Do this twice a day.

2. Organic Black Tea Bags

Just:

-Moisten a black tea bag in warm water,

-rub it over the affected area for couple minutes.

-Repeat several times daily .

3. Baking Soda

Just:

mix one tablespoon of baking soda and

one cup of water

-then dip a cotton ball in the solution and dab it on the affected skin

-let it sit for five minutes

– wash it off .

Repeat two or three times daily

4. Aspirin

Aspirin can help reduce redness and inflammation, reduce swelling, fights inflammation and treat mild infection.

Aspirin scrubs away dead skin .

Just:

-soak two aspirin tablets in one teaspoon of warm water and make paste ,
-add one teaspoon of honey to the paste,
-apply to the affected area,
-let it sit for 10 minutes,

-wash it off with warm water .

-Repeat twice a week.

5. Salt

Just:

ix one and one-half teaspoons of table salt in one cup of lukewarm water.
Dip a cotton ball in the mixture and gently rub it over the affected skin.
Leave it on for a few minutes and then rinse it off with water.
Do this twice daily until the ingrown hair clears up.
Note: Do not use this remedy if your skin gets red or irritated.

6. Sugar Scrub

Just mix :

-one cup of white sugar with

-one-half cup of extra-virgin olive oil or jojoba oil,
-then stir in 10 drops each of tea tree oil and lavender essential oil,
-and apply a small amount of this homemade scrub on the affected area.
-gently scrub the skin in circular motions for a few minutes.

– rinse it off with lukewarm water.

7. Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar has anti-inflammatory properties and destroy skin bacteria and yeast, which in turn reduces the risk of infection.

Just:

-take a cotton ball,

-apply apple cider vinegar on the affected area’
-let it sit,

– wash the area with lukewarm water.
Do this twice a day.
