Stuffy nose is a very unpleasant feeling and is often a result of allergies, cold, weather changes etc. Before you turn to any medication you might want to try these simple methods which promise to relieve stuffy nose, ears, or a stuffy head by pressing one pressure point.
Trick #1: Apply Pressure across Your Eyebrows
To clear the upper sinuses and the nose you should remove the stuck fluid by pressuring the area across the eyebrows. First, you need to put your fingers at the beginning of each of the eyebrows and lean forward so that your head rests on the elbows. After a few seconds simply slide the fingers to the center of your eyebrows.
Hold that position for a couple of seconds and then move your fingers to the ends of the eyebrows. Here you can either put a steady pressure or massage with the fingertips in a circular motion.
Therefore, you will move the flow of the fluid from the forehead position. After only a few minutes after, you will start feeling the pressure despair from the center of the head.
Trick #2: Mini-Massage
Heather Wibbels who is a professional massage therapist claims that you can remove the fluid from the head with a simple rubbing technique.
Make your hands into a V shape and with a pumping motion on the sides of the neck, you need to massage and release the lymph fluid.
This method creates a suction in the lymphatic system which removes the fluid downward.
Trick #3: Use Your Tongue & Press between Eyebrows
Only by pressing the correct points of the body you can stimulate the fluid flow and clear your sinuses.
First, make your tongue flat and push it against the roof of the mouth. In a meantime put your finger on the point between your eyebrows and push.
Hold this position for 20 seconds and all the buildup will soften, therefore sinuses will start to clear.
These techniques are only a few from Yintang acupoint. These methods are very popular in the Chinese Traditional Medicine and in modern times they are more and more implemented by the western society.
The efficiency of the mentioned techniques had been confirmed by Dr. Joseph M. Helms, president of Helms Medical Institute and author of Acupuncture Energetics: A Clinical Approach for Physician.
